Before Laser Surface Treatment of Spider Vein

After Laser Surface Treatment of Spider Vein

Surface laser treatment is a treatment option for small spider veins. A narrow laser beam is used to ablate the veins. The laser energy is absorbed by the blood in the vein, which causes the vein to close down. The spider veins fade away over the ensuing few weeks. Walking and routine daily activities can be resumed immediately. Strenuous physical activity, and other activities that cause veins to dilate, such as using a hot tub or sauna, is avoided for 2 days after treatment. Depending on the amount of spider veins and their size, more than one treatment session may be necessary.

We utilize the Cutera Excel Genesis V Laser.
